Our story
The Brier was established in September of 2019 by David Catale, built out of the things he grew up with — hip hop and metal, skateboarding, surfing in Santa Cruz, his Puerto Rican roots and years spent around tattoo shops.
Our building is home to Studio 9, a tattoo studio in back, and Humanity, a boutique skate shop upstairs — which makes this a community built around style, art and self-expression rather than simply a place to get a haircut.
